Student BSc Software Engineering at University of Applied Sciences Amsterdam
Android Developer at The Capitals

Hi, I am an enthusiastic Android Developer who is currently looking for an internship for my Bachelor project. I have been doing Android development for a little over 3 years now, first in own projects then in an Android Developer internship at The Capitals and since then as a part-time employee there. In this portfolio I will demonstrate what I worked on and tell about my interests.

For the final stage of my Bachelor I am required to do a 20-week internship where I work on an assignment defined by the hosting company. This assignment should contain a practical research component and I want to grab this opportunity to do something cool in the field of Android Engineering.

Ever since I started with Android I have been looking for ways to write prettier code and I have a a passion for finding well-designed solutions to various problems. In the last couple of years at my university I have followed several courses in fields like software maintenance, design patterns and software architecture.

One of the things I like very much about Android, apart from the platform, is the community of developers sharing code and helping each other out. Through stackoverflow, github, Android-United"> slack communities , conferences, weekly newsletters , podcasts and meetups with the Dutch Android User Group I try to give and take as much from that community as possible.

Currently, as a member of The Capitals, I work in a team of four Android Developers, which is part of a greater team consisting of developers, designers and managers. We build mobile apps for clients in the media, sports and entertainment industry. In my role as a developer I have had the opportunity to learn a lot from my co-workers and apply my own knowledge and ideas to improve both the quality of the apps we deliver as well as the quality of the build cycle.
